We all know that a majority of people are pretty tired of seeing the Chiefs make it all the way, especially with a rematch against another team they faced just two years ago, which already has a Super Bowl win. As a fan of football, though, I will still be enjoying the game for a few reasons.

Saquon Barkley Finally Winning

Saquon, a beloved running back in the game of football and a Hall of Fame hopeful, is finally playing a winning game. It has been an amazing season for Saquon; he has set a career-high in rushing yards behind a stellar Philadelphia offensive line, something he never had in New York. He also set a franchise record and joined the elusive 2,000-yard club, a landmark achievement for the running back position. To top it all off, he has made it to the big game, a dream for every NFL player. I know I’m rooting for him to win and finally overcome the hump that was the Giants.

Chiefs Winning 3 In A Row

I know, I know, we’re tired of them winning. But this is a testament to the game and a truly impressive performance from Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes. The Chiefs are the 6th team in NFL history to make the Super Bowl three times in a row and have the opportunity to win all of them. As a fan of the sport, it’s crazy and truly impressive for them to pull this off. The team is possibly one of the most resilient ever. Despite losing all of their key offensive playmakers and Mahomes having a down year by his standards, they were able to finish 15-2 this season and punch their way to the Super Bowl after beating a very strong Buffalo Bills team that had beaten them earlier this year. All around, as a fan, you just have to appreciate the greatness of this Chiefs team.

Yes, some people may be “over” the Kelces, but you can’t deny that they have turned themselves into pop culture icons. Thanks to the Kelce brothers’ podcast, we’ve gained a unique look into what the Super Bowl is like and the emotions tied to it. This year, we have the opportunity for a round two of that experience, with Travis playing for the Chiefs and Jason still heavily involved in the Eagles organization.

This is also fantastic for growing the game, especially among women and children, who are becoming bigger fans and sharing in the fun of the NFL. America’s princess, Kylie Kelce, and the most famous woman in the world, Taylor Swift, have brought a wave of new fans to the sport, creating special moments for fathers and daughters bonding over football. Every football fan should agree—this is a great thing for the game
